(InfoWars) – Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) laid the blame for Joe Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan crisis that led to the deaths of 13 soldiers at the feet of former President Trump.
When asked on CNN if the U.S. should stay in Afghanistan to manage the crisis Biden started, Romney saw an opportunity to shift blame to Trump.
“This is the result of very ineffective decisions by the prior administration and the current administration – this did not have to happen,” Romney told “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper on Sunday.

“One, the Trump administration negotiating directly with the Taliban, getting ready to invite them to Camp David, opening up a prison of 5,000 Taliban and probably ISIS-K individuals and letting them free. We don’t know whether some of them were involved in the attack that occurred. These were the decisions that led to what you’re seeing and the danger that exists at the airport. This should not have happened.”
“The reality is, the fact that we’re in this position is the result of bad decisions made by two administrations,” the neocon added.
Notably, Joe Biden made the decision to withdraw US forces before evacuating American citizens in Afghanistan which led to a total collapse of the region as the Taliban quickly assumed control.
